I’m Matt Tyler - a Strength & Conditioning coach with over a decade of experience working with everyday gym members, competitive athletes, and professional fighters.
My background spans sports performance coaching, gym leadership, coaching education, and long-term athlete development. I’ve built and led multiple training tracks, developed coaches, and designed systems that don’t just look good on paper - they work in the real world.
At the core of everything I do is one simple principle: training should have intent.
Every session, every block, every exercise choice needs a reason.
My coaching style sits at the intersection of performance, longevity, and clarity.
I don’t believe in random workouts, chasing fatigue for the sake of it, or reinventing the wheel every week. I believe in:

- Clear progression
- High standards
- Training that respects the individual in front of me
Whether I’m coaching a professional fighter, a competitive lifter, or a busy professional who just wants to feel strong and capable, the approach is the same:

I worked with Matt leading up to the CrossFit British Masters Championships in 2023. I went from hardly training and had lost the love of CrossFit to chatting with him and asking if he could do my programming for me. I did the qualifiers just as I joined with him and qualified in 8th place (last qualifying spot). With his dedication to make me better, training my weaknesses and getting me competition ready, I went to the finals feeling more confident then I had been in years. I finished the competition in second place and Matt even travelled over 2 hours to come and coach me through the weekend. Matt's knowledge is second to none with his programming and he is very dedicated to his work.
